The Past Rotarians Club of Bournemouth (No 1) was formed just over 60 years ago by the Rotary Club of Bournemouth. Between 1948 and 1960, a further 8 Past Rotarians Clubs were formed, which in turn, led to the formation of the Association of Past Rotarians in 1960.  By 1999, there were a total of 38 Clubs in the country, and although the number of Clubs has since reduced, the Association continues as a thriving organization, looking after the best interests of all Past Rotarians.

The Association’s Motto is “In Fellowship We Serve” and the aims of a Club are: -

  • Continue its adherence to the fundamental principles and objects of Rotary
  • Encourage and foster friendship and fellowship within the Club as well as with other Clubs forming part of the Association of Past Rotarians and with Rotary Clubs in its immediate vicinity
  • Serve the community, particularly through charities operating locally

The current President of the Association is Past Rotarian Roi Thomas of the Bournemouth Club (seen here with his wife Enid).
